How this actually started.
I run with June every morning. This page is the long version of why the gear looks the way it looks.

It started because she wouldn’t let me leave.
I adopted June in early 2022. She was nine months old, brown, and full of opinions. The first one she made clear: she came on the run too. Every time. Non-negotiable.
The problem was the gear. I tried three leashes. The first gave me a friction burn on the inside of my wrist. The second snapped at the carabiner clip after maybe twenty kilometers. The third tangled around my legs every time June changed sides. I came back from runs more tired than I should have been.
“Either I figure this out, or I stop running with her. Both options felt wrong.”

I had no idea what I was doing.
I bought bungee cord from a climbing shop in Luxembourg City. Buckles from a sailing supplier in Antwerp. A used running vest I cut up to learn how the waist belt was sewn. My kitchen table looked like a small workshop for about six months.
I asked four friends to test the early versions. One ran canicross in Belgium. Two trail-ran in the Vosges. The fourth hiked with two large dogs. They sent back notes and a few hand-drawn sketches. The adjustable section came from one of those notes. The Y-front harness came from another.
Somewhere around version twenty, June started running smoother. I knew I was getting close.

Small batches, real people.
I make the gear in small runs. Each batch gets a full check before it ships. June still gets the first new version whenever I tweak something. If it doesn’t work on her, it doesn’t go out.
Right now the gear ships to the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and most of the EU. Free, worldwide. If you order and it doesn’t fit your dog or your stride, you have thirty days to send it back. I cover return shipping.
If you have a question about which size, or whether it works for your specific breed, write me directly at hello@pawjogger.com. I read every email myself.
